WMS Comes Back from the DeadWMS Industries has gotten more advanced technology and is using it to redo their slot machines and video games to bring them back into the slot machine and gaming business. They have been having problems for the past five years, ever since it was discovered that the slot machines they made were easy pray for cheaters. They removed themselves from the playing field voluntarily, and are now back and ready for business. Their stock, needless to say, is on the rise with investors, for they know that for a big kingpin like WMS to come back to play, they mean serious business. The stock has been low since they left, in fact, it has been pretty non-existent. But now that they are back, their stock is on the rise. They created new, more advanced slot machines than anything else out there, and they took a larger percentage of the slot machine floor by diversifying their interests. Most slots go for roughly $10,000 to $12,000 in today’s market, quite an increase from the 2004 selling price of roughly $8,500. The company now has mechanical reel games, video poker machines, and progressive slot machines to choose from.
