DeSoto Sheriff Still Searching for Watson

Janet Watson, a 77 year old former school teacher is missing after playing the slot machines. She was playing the slot machines at the Logansport Truck Stop on August 28^th and won about $1,000. She was there playing the slot machines for several hours and left alone. The security guard saw her leave in her car at around 8:45 pm.

The DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office has decided to expand the search for her, adding smaller roads and areas off of the highway, and for everything to be searched again. “We’ve already driven 191, but (the sheriff’s office) asked that we back track our steps, and that’s what we’re going to do,” they said.

Watson’s burned out pickup truck was found about two hours later, and her cell phone was found on Friday by a fisherman south of Zwolle. Divers searched for any evidence but did not find anything.
