Public Hearing for GamingThe “Gaming Centre” is having a public meeting to decide if it will be approved or not. The Prince George City Council is holding the meeting, and all are invited to attend. During the hearing, the land deal is being presented to the committee, talking of finances and plans for the group. The city sold the parcel of land to Otter Properties for a little more than $1.2 million, and the group is planning on opening a casino on it. The facility that is being built requires the city to pay for “environmental remediation”, or at least one half of it, which would cost the city $70,000 – plus the construction of an underground parking structure. The parking garage is not to cost more than $4 million, and would be owned by the city. The Gaming Centre owners, Otter Properties, have agreed to have the casino built within the next two years. The casino will hold 100 slot machines as well as bingo – which would bring the total slot machines to 500. slot machine, slot machine, slot machine, slot machine Back to September Index - Slot Machines Fan |
