Ringwood Up for ApprovalThe Weymouth Civic Society is concerned that an adult gaming centre is going into an existing building that is a historical site. The current premises, at 86 The Esplanade, has permission to operate slot machines and other gaming machines, and the new owners want to do the same. The WCS has asked that if it is approved, that no structural alterations be allowed, or anything that might change the way that the historic building looks now. They also asked that all forecourt slot machines be removed as well. The new site will be an adult gaming centre that will not allow anyone under the age of 18 on the premises. Ringwood has also agreed that there will not be any alterations to the look of the building. Planning Manager Simon Williams has stated that there will not be a lot of traffic, and that there will be significant changes to the way the business is run. He said that Ringwood is very clear on the fact that there won’t be any video games or music played within the premises, and that the forecourt display goods will be removed as well, adding to the improvement of the building. The Planning and Traffic Committee of Weymouth and Portland have yet to approve the new scheme, and once it is approved they suspect it will be approved conditionally. Ringwood has agreed, that if the committee so desires, they will not use the forecourt at all. slot machine, slot machine, slot machine, slot machine Back to September Index - Slot Machines Fan |
