When all is said and done there will be more than 2000 new slot machines going into the bars and taverns throughout the state. The state lottery hopes the machines will bring back revenue to the state that has been lacking over the past few months.

Locations such as Las Vegas and Atlantic City have already seen large drops in the amount of money that they are bringing in from their slot machines. However, Oregon has decided to ignore these statistics and is moving forward by bringing in more slot machines into their state. Perhaps they think that by bringing in more machines, they will bring in more people.

Some residents are excited by the idea of bringing in the slot machines while others feel that is simply a waste of time and money. They say that the slot machines are a tax on the poor, and it will only be the poor that pay.
