It is important
to remember that when you are playing the slot machines that the house
has an edge – and they want you to lose. They want you to win something
because it will keep you playing, but ultimately they want your money.
The more money you feed into the slot machines – the more money they
make on their casino.
That being said,
there are ways to make your slot machine playing experience more
enjoyable than others. You can sit and feed money into the slot machine
for hours on end, but at the end you didn’t have any fun and you
probably feel some regret that you didn’t go buy something with that
money instead. Or you dumped your money into the slot machine and were
done in an hour, and you are still in Vegas for three more days with no
money to gamble.
However, this is
not the case if you manage your money wisely and you play the slot
machines for fun. Let’s say you are going to Vegas for four days. Figure
out how many times you want to hit the slot machines or the tables over
those four days – twice a day, three times a day? Then you take your
money and you divide it up by the number of days, and then by the number
of times that you want to go play. You put it into separate envelopes
and do not allow yourself to touch money from another envelope. Let’s
say you have four days of playing four times each day – you will need
sixteen envelopes all with the same amount of money.
Saturday morning,
you take your Saturday morning envelope and go play the slot machines.
When that money is gone, you leave the gambling floor and go do
something else. When it is time to gamble again, you take ONLY your
envelope for that time, and then leave once the slot machines have taken
all of your money. Some people like to put the money they win in a
separate place, and not touch it. Know that if you keep playing until
the money you brought and the money you won is gone, you will probably
come home with nothing.
Do not take your
ATM card with you for you will be sorely tempted to pull money out if
things are not going so well. So don’t do this, no matter what. Stick to
your management system and you will have plenty of money to play the
entire time you are there, and you won’t come home feeling like you have
just made the biggest mistake of your life – or even worse – now you
won’t be able to pay mortgage, etc.
