VegasTripping.com
is pleased to announce the winners of their “2nd Annual Best
and Worst of Las Vegas Readers Poll Awards – The Trippies.” This is the
second year in a row that the site has polled their readers asking them
who the best and worst casinos, hotels, shows, and restaurants were –
asking them to list them in more than 26 categories.
Readers could
also vote on the best blog, podcast or website resource for LV travel
info, Person of the Year and pet peeves. The poll takes place over four
months, with their readers taking the time to fill out all of the
categories, and then everything has to be tallied so that they know who
the winners are. The editors of the site weigh in as well, and have
“Editor’s Picks” for each category, but their readers really decide the
winners.
“Best Overall,”
“Best Food,” “Best Poker Room,” and “Best Room Service” all went to one
casino – the Bellagio. Their show, Cirque du Soleil’s “O” won “Best
Show” as well. Caesars Palace took "Best Casino" and "Best Sportsbook," with Elton John’s headlining
at the casino taking “Best Entertainer.” “Best Table Games” and “Best
Slots” went to the Golden Nugget and The Palms respectively, with
Harrah’s getting the distinction of having the tightest slot machines in
town.
For Editor’s
Choices, Wynn Las Vegas took top honors, getting "Best Overall," "Best
Casino," "Best Room Service,” "Best Food," "Best Rooms," "Best Table
Games," etc. – they were the big winner last year as well. They also got
“Best Casino Carpet,” something I didn’t even realize people were
looking at. As a kind of in memoriam, the now defunct Stardust got “Best
Neon Sign,” which is the least the casino could get after 50 years on
the strip. For a listing of all the winners in all of the categories,
