Credit Meter

A display of how many credits a player has in a slot machine.

When slot machines were in their infancy, wins were paid out instantly, and the coins dropped into a tray. Now they remain in the machine until the player cashes out, and the credit meter indicates how much money is in the machine. Wins add to the credit meter; losses subtract from the credit meter.
